Having commenced his accountancy career with the accounting firm of Carey & Hackett in 1972, Robert completed his Bachelor of Business degree in Rockhampton in 1976 and became a partner of the newly established accountancy firm of BJ Carey & Company in that same year. The firm later changed its name to Carey Accountants Pty Ltd.
With a career spanning more than 45 years, Robert is passionate about the business and life generally in North Queensland.
With a wealth of experience in accounting, finance, cane farming and the local community, Robert used this knowledge and experience to expand his interests into the renewable energy sector.
